Personal training cost in Glastonbury, CT — how it works

How personal training is priced at IronFlex

Every session is one coach, one client, about an hour, in a private studio. There is no gym membership fee — you pay for coaching only. You choose one of four ways to pay, and we quote each of them in writing at the free assessment so you can take the numbers home and decide there.

Option 1

Single session

No commitment. Good for a second opinion or a tune-up. Most people who start here move to a membership within a month.

Option 2 · most clients

Monthly membership

One to four sessions a week, billed monthly, with a three-month initial term and then month to month. The per-session rate is the same at every frequency.

  • 2× a week is where most people land
  • 3× a week for rebuilding after injury or surgery
  • Cancel with notice; no annual contract
Options 3 & 4

Paid-in-full packages · Partner training

Packages of 12 to 88 sessions at the same per-session rate, paid once, with expiry windows that grow with the package. Partner training — two clients, one coach, same hour — is priced per person at a lower rate.

Prices are quoted pre-tax and shown tax-inclusive on anything you sign; they can change with 30 days' notice. Package and membership terms are governed by your signed client agreement.

Paying with an HSA or FSA

Can I use my HSA or FSA for personal training?

Sometimes — and the difference is a piece of paper. Personal training for general fitness is not an eligible medical expense. Personal training to treat or prevent a specific diagnosed condition — osteoporosis, obesity, hypertension, recovery after a joint replacement, chronic back pain — can be, if your physician writes a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and your plan administrator accepts it. Many of our clients over 50 qualify.

1

Ask your doctor

Request a Letter of Medical Necessity naming the condition and stating that supervised strength training is part of treatment or prevention.

2

Check your plan

Call the number on your HSA/FSA card and ask whether they accept LMNs for exercise programs. Most do; some want their own form.

3

We give you the paperwork

Itemized receipts with dates, session counts and our tax ID, in whatever format your administrator asks for.

4

Submit

Pay with the card directly, or pay normally and submit for reimbursement — your administrator decides which.

The honest caveat. Eligibility is decided by your plan administrator and the IRS rules, not by IronFlex Fitness. We cannot guarantee reimbursement, and we are not tax advisors. What we can do is make the paperwork easy and tell you what has worked for other clients.

What the price buys

One coach, one client

Every session, every rep

You are never one of several people a trainer is watching. The hour is yours, and the program is written for you.

Post-rehab expertise

Corrective exercise specialists

Both floor coaches hold NASM Corrective Exercise credentials. That is what you are paying for when you arrive with a history.

No membership fee

Training only

There is no gym membership on top. You pay for coaching, and only coaching.

What we do differently

Why it costs what it costs

A gym membership buys access to equipment. A class buys a share of one instructor's attention split thirty ways. Personal training here buys an hour of a certified coach's complete attention in a private room, with a plan. For adults over 40 with a real history, the third one is the only one that reliably works — which is why our clients stay an average of well over a year.

  • Written quote at the assessment. You leave with the number in writing. No follow-up calls, no pressure.
  • Same rate at every tier. The per-session rate is the same whether you buy 12 sessions or 88. Bigger packages buy longer expiry, not a discount — we would rather you pick the frequency that fits your life.
  • Three-day right to cancel. Every agreement carries a conspicuous three-business-day cancellation right.
  • Partner training costs less per person. Two people, one coach, same hour — spouses and friends often train together.
  • HSA/FSA paperwork handled. Itemized receipts and whatever your administrator asks for.

How the free assessment works

About an hour. No workout, no obligation, no sales pitch with a stopwatch.

1

We listen first

Your history, your goals, how often you can realistically train, and what you want the next year to look like.

2

We watch you move

How you stand, walk, sit and stand, and reach. What you can do comfortably today — nothing more.

3

We tell you plainly

What we'd do, how often, and what it costs — in writing. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.

4

You decide

No decision on the day is needed. Book when you're ready, or don't.

About the numbers on this page. Prices are per session, pre-tax, current as of September 2026, and may change with 30 days' written notice. The figure on any agreement you sign is shown tax-inclusive at the Connecticut rate. HSA/FSA eligibility is determined by your plan administrator, not by IronFlex Fitness.
Common questions

Pricing and HSA/FSA — FAQ

How much does a personal trainer cost in Glastonbury, CT?
It depends on how often you train and how you pay — a single session, a monthly membership of one to four sessions a week, a paid-in-full package of 12 to 88 sessions, or partner training priced per person. We quote every option in writing at the free assessment rather than publishing a price list, because the right frequency is different for someone rebuilding after surgery than for someone maintaining. Every session is one-to-one, about an hour, in a private studio.

No. You pay for coaching only. Monthly memberships have a three-month initial term, then run month to month; packages are paid once. Every agreement includes a three-business-day right to cancel.
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for personal training?
Possibly. General fitness is not eligible, but training for a diagnosed condition — osteoporosis, obesity, hypertension, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain — can be, if your physician provides a Letter of Medical Necessity and your plan administrator accepts it. We provide the itemized receipts; eligibility is your administrator's call.
What does the free assessment cost?
Nothing. It is about an hour, there is no workout, and you leave with a written quote and an honest opinion on whether we can help. book the free Strength & Mobility Assessment.
Do you offer discounts, deals or trial packages?
No introductory discounts — the free assessment is the trial. Prices are the same for everyone, and the only thing that changes with package size is the expiry window.
