Meet the IronFlex Trainers

Three coaches, one studio, and a rule that never changes: one coach, one client, every session. Here is who they are, what they are certified in, and who each of them is the right fit for.

Takes about an hour. You won't be asked to work out. We talk through your history, watch how you move, and tell you honestly whether we can help.

Meet the Trainers

The people you would actually work with

You get one dedicated coach who knows your history — not whoever happens to be on shift. We match you at your free assessment based on what you are working on and who you will work best with. Every coach here is certified, and both floor coaches hold Corrective Exercise Specialist credentials, which is the qualification that matters when you arrive with a surgery or a long-standing injury behind you.

Gina Carroll

Training Manager
NASM-CPT · Corrective Exercise Specialist

Six-plus years coaching, and a former women's lacrosse coach at Holy Cross. Gina runs the training floor and sets how our corrective-exercise and post-rehab work is programmed — the standard behind every client who arrives with a surgery or a long-standing flare-up behind them.

Ask for Gina if: you are coming off surgery or PT, you would prefer a woman coach, or you want the person who writes the standards.

Michael O'Rourke

Trainer
NASM-CPT · Corrective Exercise Specialist

A decade in strength training. Michael is who we pair with people who have never touched a barbell — patient, form first, and in no hurry to add weight before you are ready for it. His corrective-exercise work means the programming adapts around old injuries instead of ignoring them.

Ask for Michael if: you have never trained before, you are nervous about it, or you have an old injury that flares up.

Connor Crouse

Owner & Director
ISSA-CPT · Certified Personal Trainer

Twelve years coaching — injury-adaptive training, strength and conditioning, weight loss and corrective exercise. Connor built the studio around one-to-one coaching for adults who want to stay strong and independent, and he sets the standards the floor runs on.

Ask for Connor if: you want to talk through whether the studio is right for you before you commit to anything.

If this sounds like you

How we match you with a coach

Your history

Surgery, injury, diagnosis

Post-rehab clients are usually matched with a Corrective Exercise Specialist and, where it helps, with the coach who has coordinated with your kind of PT before.

Your comfort

Nervous, new, or particular

If you have never trained, or you would prefer a woman coach, say so at the assessment. We match on fit, not on whose calendar is open.

Your goal

Strength, balance, independence

Every coach here programs the same way — progressive, form first — so the match is about the person, not the method.

What we do differently

What every coach here has in common

Certifications are the floor, not the ceiling. What makes the studio work is that every coach follows the same standard: a written program, watched rep by rep, adjusted every session, built around your history.

  • Nationally certified. NASM-CPT or ISSA-CPT, current, with continuing education.
  • Corrective exercise on the floor. Both floor coaches hold the NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist credential.
  • A decade-plus of coaching adults 40–75+. Not athletes, not twenty-year-olds — people with a history and a life.
  • Coordination with your physician or PT. We regularly work alongside local clinics and surgeons' offices.
  • One coach, one client. The rule the studio was built on. It does not change on a busy day.

How the free assessment works

About an hour. No workout, no obligation, no sales pitch with a stopwatch.

1

We listen first

Your history, your goals, and what kind of coach you work best with.

2

We watch you move

How you stand, walk, sit and stand, and reach. What you can do comfortably today — nothing more.

3

We tell you plainly

What we'd do, how often, and what it costs — in writing. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.

4

You decide

No decision on the day is needed. Book when you're ready, or don't.

One coach, matched at the assessment. You will meet your coach at or right after the free assessment, and you will keep them. If the fit is ever wrong, tell us and we will change it — no awkwardness, no extra cost.
Common questions

Our trainers — FAQ

Are IronFlex trainers certified?
Yes. Gina Carroll and Michael O'Rourke are NASM Certified Personal Trainers and NASM Corrective Exercise Specialists; Connor Crouse is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. All certifications are current.
Can I choose my trainer?
Yes. Tell us at the free assessment who you would prefer, or describe what matters to you — a woman coach, someone patient with beginners, someone who has worked with your kind of injury — and we will match you. You keep the same coach for every session.
Do you have women trainers?
Yes — Gina Carroll, our Training Manager, and you can ask for her at the assessment.
Will I always train with the same person?
Yes. One coach knows your history, your form and your progress. That continuity is the point of a private studio.
